On the 18th of July a group of players and parents from next seasons U12 Cobras participated in a sponsored walk through London in support of Cardiac Risk in the Young. The walk involved a five mile route along the river Thames, this took the participants past 12 of London's famous land marks and across 7 of the bridges. The morning began with a start at the pub, although this was only the meeting the place, the walkers then travelled to cock fosters where the tube took us to the Embankment where the walk was to begin. Free snacks and water was given out and everyone was also invited to attend a free warm up session. Throughout the walk a good time was had by all, even with one or two of the parents constantly trying to get a bus to the finish line, the boys of the Cobras were also extremely well behaved, and great ambassadors to the club. I would like to say thank you very much to the players and the parents of the U12 Cobras who came up to London to take part, I also hope to see just as many if not more people coming to take part next time, to have a laugh and also to raise some money for a very worthy cause.
