King George Football Club
In Service Training Update

Congratulations to Richard James and Steve Abrams for being the latest King George FC coaches to successfully attain their FA Level 2 coaching qualifications. This brings the number of Level 2 coaches at KGFC to an impressive 7 and continues to show the club's commitment to not just developing its players, but also to its coaching and managing volunteers.

UPDATE: Congratulations also go to Daryn Ingrey who is the latest KGFC coach to pass his FA Level 1 Course.

Well done guys :)

....and before you ask they are Richard, Steve, Dave, Jason, Rob, Jonny and Martin!!

KGFC at White Hart Lane

On Saturday 7th August 60 members of King George FC received complimentary tickets to watch the Tottenham Hotspur vs Fiorentina friendly at White Hart Lane. All the tickets were taken by players, coaches and parents from various teams and all seemed to thoroughly enjoy what turned out to be a fantastic game of football.

Thanks to Richard, Michael and Tottenham Hotspur FC for making this possible.

King George Seniors

gmeaden-thumb-14063King George Football Club is pleased to announce the launch of its first adult football team that will compete in Division 2 of the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday League next season and will be based at the club’s home ground at the King George V Playing Fields in Welwyn Garden City. The new team provides an excellent opportunity for last seasons Under 18 players to progress into adult 11-a-side football whilst still playing in a familiar environment.

The team has been formed with help from new manager Andy Chesterman who comes with a number of years experience in Sunday League football and who’s own children already play in the KGFC youth setup.

KGFC Chairman Martin Williams said “This new team allows King George FC to offer cradle-to-grave football with our players now being given the opportunity to play football from the age of 2 right up until the day they decide to hang up their boots. I would just like to thank Andy and the rest of the guys who are giving up their spare time to get this team up and running and look forward to seeing how they get on in their first season.”

The King George Seniors side is not just for ex-youth players but is open to anyone wanting to play regular Sunday football. For more information contact Andy via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
