Few Under 11 Spaces Left Print

info-iconKGFC still has a few spaces available on its Under 11 squads for any players going back to school in Year 6.

These spaces are open to anyone that wants to play football, regardless of ability, and no previous experience is required. All we ask is that you turn up regularly and want to learn and play football.

Being part of a team is a fantastic way to keep active and make new friends.

Tournament Success Print

trophy-gold-iconWell done to all the teams representing KGFC at the various tournaments over the weekend.

Congratulations go to the Under 10 Vipers who were Champions of the Welwyn Pegasus U10 Shield competition and to the Under 9 Vipers who were Runners-Up in the U8 Shield competition at the same tournament.

The club would also like to wish Aaron Foreman, from the U12 Cobras, a swift recovery after he suffered a bad ankle injury that required hospital treatment during the WP Tournament. Get well soon Aaron.

 
New Goalkeeper Sessions Print

King George FC is launching a new weekly goalkeeper training course starting on Monday 6th September at 18:30. The sessions will be run by Keith West, who currently trains young goalies for Luton Town FC, and will cost £4 per week.

These sessions are available to any player from any club who is interested in goalkeeping, regardless of ability. If you are interested in attending then just turn up at KGV on Monday.

 
In Service Training Update Print

Congratulations to Richard James and Steve Abrams for being the latest King George FC coaches to successfully attain their FA Level 2 coaching qualifications. This brings the number of Level 2 coaches at KGFC to an impressive 7 and continues to show the club's commitment to not just developing its players, but also to its coaching and managing volunteers.

UPDATE: Congratulations also go to Daryn Ingrey who is the latest KGFC coach to pass his FA Level 1 Course.

U10 Vipers And U10 Pythons Training Print
After their long summer break the U10 Vipers and the U10 Pythons will be back in training this Tuesday the 24th of August , and to get the Pythons ready for the new season they have a friendly match against Ware Youth Clarets U10 on Saturday 28th August and the U10 Vipers are at the Harvesters FC tournament on the Sunday 29th of August . . . Let the football begin.........Michael
