Anyone wanting to play for King George Football Club will always be accepted regardless of ability each player will be assessed on their 4 A's (Ability, Attitude, Attendance, Age) and will then be assigned to a team of similar ability/minded players.

Where no team or places are currently available a player will remain on our waiting list until an suitable opportunity arises.

We are still looking for more players to join the King George FC in order to create a number of new teams in various age groups.

Where there are enough similar players in the school waiting for a team and a suitable manager/coach can be identified then another brand new team will be created to accommodate them (upto 4 teams per age group).

This does not mean that only the best players get into teams, as players new to the game, those who want to play sociably and those less able will enter into teams with players of a similar ability and mindset and be entered into leagues with similar teams thus giving everyone a chance to compete at their own level.

Under 6,7 and 8 will not be entered into any teams or leagues but will have regular training and will represent the club in friendly matches against other clubs, or each other, whenever possible. We feel that it is more important to focus on the development of the really young players so they are better equipped when they do enter into a league structure at Under 9. By not entering these players into a league too early removes the added pressure that a league situation inevitably brings thus leaving the players free to learn, develop and express themselves without worrying about match results.

Players too young to join any of the above are welcome to attend King George Tots and received regular training for a small weekly fee.

For those new to football we offer our Pay-n-Play that will ease you into the game by just letting you play regular football games supervised by our qualified coaches.

Managers and coaches are also needed to help with these teams and train players in the various each age groups.
