A warm welcome to King George Football Club.

We are a youth football club based at King George V Playing Fields in Welwyn Garden City and offer football for all, regardless of gender, religion or social status.

Our club's foundations are based on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children to learn about football and develop at their pace. We provide football from 4 up to 18 years and aim to develop players in all age groups through structured football coaching in a fun environment.

As an expanding club we always welcome new players who would like to play and develop their football in a fun and friendly environment and want the opportunity to compete against other local teams in a league and cup format.

Managers / Coaches / Volunteer Opportunities 

King George Football Club is a non-profit club run completely by Volunteers, who give up their time and energy to provide football for boys and girls in the local community. 

Our club depends on volunteers to keep functioning. Apart from managerial and coaching opportunities there are lots of other things that need doing, such as fund-raising, helping out at festivals, tournaments, the KGFC Cafe and lots more. The more people that help, the more we can achieve and the more fun and enjoyment we can provide the kids.

We may have teams currently needing help or there could be the possibility of you starting a new team from scratch as we run multiple teams in each age group. Don't worry if you have little experience in coaching or running a team the club will help you and can arrange for you to undertake an FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification. The club will even reimburse 50% of the cost after 6 months of service and the remaining 50% after 12 months. Please bear in mind that to work with children you will have to undergo an FA CRB check, this is purely for their safety and protection.
