| KGFC Summer Tournament |
|
Last weekend nearly 1,800 players took to the pitches, with a further 2,000 friends, family and supporters in attendance, all there to enjoy what turned out to be an excellent competition. The level of football was superb and the support from the sidelines was excellent. Over 90 teams took part in this tournament and credit goes to all of the qualified referee's - Richard Bullimore, Jack Bullimore, George Williamson, Paul Cloona, Jack Reed, Ben Stubbs, Steve Wildgoose, Charlie Jarvis, Dominic Everett, Elliot Barnwell, Mike Davies, Mark Pearson, Liam Cloona, Rosie Stubbs, Alex Cloona and Jordan Parfitt who turned up to officiate over 251 games of football between them.
The event was co-ordinated and run by a large number of volunteers, players and parents from King George FC, who all gave up their spare time for free and worked incredibly hard over the whole weekend to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible and this was recognised by the very positive feedback received from the visitors. The club would like to express a big thank you to everyone involved in organising, setting up, running and clearing up after the tournament as without everyone working together the tournament would not have been the great success that it turned out to be.
