KGFC Receives Charter Standard Plaque |
|
On 14th November 2009, King George Football Club held a party to mark the achieving of the Football Association's prestigious Charter Standard Award. During the celebration Darren Satchell, the club's Vice Chairman and Charter Standard Co-Ordinator, had the pleasure of receiving the commemorative plaque presented by Ken Headington, Club Development Officer for the Hertfordshire FA.

The receipt of this award marks the end of a hard 6 months which saw the club ensure that all of the FA's best policies and practices were implemented for the benefit of all its players and members. The Charter Standard is recognised as a kite mark within Grassroots Football and is regarded as a statement of quality. Obtaining the mark shows that the club are focused on implementing the FA's best practices and policies in young player development and opens the door to further support that the club will need as it continues to grow.
What makes this achievement more astonishing is the fact that a year ago the club did not even exist but has come from nowhere to now offer more than 250 local children the chance to participate in the sport they love.
The club would like to thank Darren and Erica Mizon, Club Welfare Officer, for all their hard work along with all the rest of the club's volunteers who have supported them during this process. |
